How has the quality of delegates on site been?

Scott: We have a really targeted list of people that eTail always provides for us, and we choose who is the best fit. All the delegates on site have been great, with a good mix of roles. We have had good conversations, which we can take the next steps from.

We have met attendees from both new and up-and-coming companies, as well as strategic and enterprise attendees who fit our bill perfectly. eTail is always able to deliver a good mix.

Did you use the attendee profiling before the event to select your top 6-10 prospects?

Scott: We did - It was very valuable and insightful, as we could look at what their priorities were, and get a good idea of what they would want to get out of our 1-1 meetings. We were able to really focus on each meeting and take the correct approach with the conversations we wanted to have.

So far, we have had six meetings today and two tomorrow – with five of these so far which should lead to a good follow up after the event. The meetings are what we’re here for, and everything has been very positive, which makes it all worth it.

How have the networking breaks been for you guys so far and the lunch?

Scott: The number of networking opportunities are great, from the bingo events, to lunch, to the dinner at the evening, there's always really a good opportunity to network.

The priority of these events is always networking – with same people we met last year, which is really great as we get to have another conversation with them, as well as new contacts.

How would you rate the event overall?

Scott: It has to be 10 out of 10. Overall, I think Silverstone has been a great venue because it's created a lot of talking points, especially with the Pitstop challenge and simulators, everyone has been excited throughout the event.

The structure of eTail Connect from the agenda to the communication beforehand, helping set up the meetings, finding the delegates, and bringing them to the meetings, answering any questions and support, is great. The team has done an absolutely stunning job; knowing you can find someone to help any time you need to.

On your usual business timeline, how long would it take to meet this calibre of retailer?

Scott: We’ve been able to come away from a two-day event with eight meetings, that's something that could take up to half a year, maybe more. It’s much easier to do this in person than it is trying to outreach and get on a call.

Would you say that this event could have a positive impact on your 2023 business goals?

Scott: Yes, eTail Connect is always an event we get the most positive outcome from - attending is always massively important for us in the first half of the year. How we focus ourselves and set up for the rest of the year is massively dependent on which events we attend and what we can gain from those.

From the conversations we have here with the attendees that fit right profile for us - we can always generate a good pipeline for the year ahead.
